TACTICAL CREATIVITY

In today's landscape of constant change, creativity isn't a luxury—it's a survival skill.

  • NAVIGATING Complexity

Igniting teams to think creatively, communicate effectively, and adapt quickly is essential to meet today’s complexities. Innovative strategies can be leveraged by connecting experiences, synthesising ideas, and generating fresh insights. It is about embracing vulnerability, emotional intelligence, and flexibility.

  • MINDSET

Tactical creativity is not about traditional artistic pursuits, but rather, it's about leveraging a creative mindset to solve real-world problems. Cultivating a 21st century mindset deeply rooted in creativity is essential for developing the kind of leaders who can navigate the challenges of our time.

  • CREATIVITY

We draw upon proven frameworks from sports psychology and design practice to help teams make creativity a reliable, tactical resource rather than a sporadic occurrence, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation in every aspect of work.

  • MAKE IT HAPPEN

Where did creative thinking go?

Sir Ken Robinson, one of the greatest champions of creative learning, pointed out that creativity is often "taught out" of us as we progress through the education system and into the workforce. This is where the concept of tactical creativity becomes so important.

Drawing inspiration from both elite sports psychology and the innovative spirit of the Bauhaus School, our approach to tactical creativity helps teams develop agile, adaptive thinking.

That's why Steve Pozel Projects is bringing tactical creativity into the workplace, drawing on frameworks and research on tactical creativity from the sports world, combined with the knowledge and discipline of some of the world ‘s leading designers and architects, to leverage a creative mindset for problem-solving. Tactical Creativity workshops will assist individuals and teams to unlearn traditional thinking and open the doors to more innovative solutions for humanity's biggest challenges.

Ultimately, a 21st century mindset focused on creativity is about embracing vulnerability, emotional intelligence, and flexibility. These are the qualities that will shape the leaders of the future.

UNLEARNING.

The Bauhaus School, known for its innovative approach to design and education, emphasised the importance of “unlearning” older or more traditional ways of thinking in order to open doors to new, more creative solutions. This concept is just as relevant in today's rapidly changing world.

Creativity is not just about coming up with new ideas, but also having the courage to test them out. It requires a growth mindset, fuelled by curiosity and playfulness, and the discipline to stay in the process of problem-solving without jumping to quick solutions.

Neurologically, creativity is the result of making new connections within the brain. It involves being open to new experiences, synthesising ideas in new ways, and being agile enough to get unstuck when feeling trapped in repetitive thinking patterns. Embracing vulnerability and emotional intelligence are also essential components of cultivating creativity.

Innovation, as Einstein noted, is not the product of logical thought. Creativity requires unlearning and questioning the obvious, allowing space for ideas to incubate and refraining from judgment too soon. It also demands time and commitment, and is crucial in fields such as sports where unexpected and less predictable decisions lead to greater success.
